Vino's keeps coming up whenever someone asks about pizza here, and I'll admit I've only been a couple of times. Parking on Markham is a pain and it gets loud for me these days. Not knocking it, the pizza was good.
My sister-in-law is in from Hot Springs next week and she's a calzone person. She'll drive anywhere in town for a good one, but I'd like to keep it close and not be out on I-630 if the weather turns. We've had sirens go off twice this month already.
So who do you go to? I know Damgoode Pies and Pizza Cafe, and I've had both over the years, but I want to hear what the rest of you actually order. Is there a place that does a real calzone and not just a folded-over pizza? Takeout is fine. Dine-in is fine too if it's not too crowded.
I grew up when pizza meant Pizza Hut or the buffet at Pizza Inn, so I'm easy to please, but I don't want to take company somewhere mediocre.
