Opened the mail yesterday and there it is, a summons for jury duty at the courthouse on Markham. I'm 50-something and have never once been called, so I figured I was off the list for good 😅
For anybody who's done it here:
- How likely is it you actually get picked vs. just sitting in the room all day and getting sent home?
- Is it one day or do they make you come back?
- Parking. I'm over in the Quapaw Quarter so it's a short drive, but I don't know where people park once they get downtown. Is there a deck close by or are you feeding meters and hoping?
- Do they let you bring a book/laptop, or is it phone in the bag and good luck
I work for myself part of the week so a multi-day thing would be a pain, but I'm not trying to dodge it either. Just want to know what I'm walking into before the date comes around. Thanks y'all
