Ok so I know I'm not the only one with a story about the Wendy's on Colonel Glenn, because every time I mention it to anybody they get this look and say "oh no, what happened." 😅
Mine was a few weeks ago. I had back to back house showings out west and about 20 minutes to grab something, so I hit the drive-thru there. Ordered a spicy chicken combo, a small chili, and a Frosty for later. Sat in line for what felt like forever, and I'm watching the clock the whole time because I did NOT want to be late to meet people at a listing. Got to the window, paid, grabbed the bag, and drove off. Didn't check it, which is my mistake, I know. Got to the showing, parked, opened the bag, and it was a kids meal. Plus a single order of fries. No sandwich, no chili, no Frosty. I ate a handful of cold fries in the driveway of a four bedroom while my buyers toured the kitchen... not my finest professional moment lol
The thing is it's not even that I'm mad, it's more like it's an exit I drive past constantly and the whole stretch is already a mess with the traffic on Colonel Glenn plus all the construction around the I-430 ramps, so you really feel it when you lose 25 minutes to the wrong bag. (Honestly the drive-thru line backing up toward the road is one of those things I'd make a note of if I were buying nearby. Just saying.)
So what's your worst fast food mishap in Little Rock? Doesn't have to be Wendy's, I'm sure every chain in town has a few. Wrong order, missing item, 30 minute wait for a burger, somebody else's name on your cup, all of it counts. And if anybody has a story about a place that gets it right every single time, I'd love to hear that too, because I need a reliable lunch spot between showings 🍔
