Cinnabon at the Outlets closed... where do you get a good cinnamon roll now?

Okay this might be a small thing in the grand scheme but it genuinely bummed me out. I was out by the Outlets of Little Rock this week running errands and the Cinnabon is just gone, dark and empty. Somebody told me it was the only one in central Arkansas, which I didn't even realize, I always just assumed there were a couple around.

I'm not gonna pretend it was gourmet, but when you're walking around with a coffee and you smell that place from across the parking lot, it works every time. My mom and I used to split one every time we went to the Outlets, kind of a tradition.

So now I'm on the hunt for a good cinnamon roll in the Little Rock area. The big gooey kind with way too much icing, not the dry grocery store ones that taste like a sweet bread roll somebody forgot about. I've heard Boulevard Bread does good pastries but I honestly don't know if they do a real cinnamon roll, and I haven't tried much else lately.

Where do you all go? Bonus points for somewhere newer that I probably haven't heard about, I love finding a new little spot, and I'm happy to drive across town for a good one. Even a church bake sale or a farmers market vendor counts, I'm not picky!

Dang, I hadn't heard that one closed. Every time I walked past it at the Outlets I ended up buying one 😄

Community Bakery down on Main St has been around forever. I *think* they do cinnamon rolls but call ahead, they sell out early, so don't hold me to it. Boulevard Bread definitely has good pastries, I just can't say if there's a real gooey roll in the case.

The River Market farmers market usually has a bakery table or two once it starts back up this spring, worth a look. Grab one and walk it off on the River Trail after, then you've earned it.

Took Randy's advice and stopped by Community Bakery on Main last Saturday. Got there around 9 and the case was already getting picked over, so yeah, go early. The roll I got was more old-school bakery than Cinnabon. Less goo, less icing, but I'd still take it over anything from a grocery store case.

Farmers market should be back up in a couple months. I'll be down there for tomato plants anyway, so I'll look for a bakery table while I'm at it.
