New anime convention in Little Rock Nov 21, anyone going?

Saw a post on Reddit about a brand new anime convention coming to Little Rock on Nov 21. I know it's still a few weeks away, but my oldest has been asking about it ever since I mentioned it.

Anyone planning to go? I'm also trying to figure out whether it's going to be mostly a cosplay event or more of a vendor/artist alley thing. Those can be really different days out, especially if you're bringing a kid along. I haven't found a venue or a guest list yet, so if anybody has seen a real announcement, please drop it here.

If you've been to the bigger ones over in Memphis or Dallas, I'd like to hear how they run. Is it worth buying tickets early, and do the vendors take cards or is it all cash?

I'll keep an eye out and add details to this thread as they come out. Hoping it lands somewhere downtown near the River Market, since parking and food are easy there.

Haven't seen a real announcement, just the same Reddit chatter. Not my scene, but my guess for a first-year con in Little Rock is the Statehouse Convention Center, since it's already set up for this kind of thing and it's right by the River Market. Don't hold me to that though.

On cards vs cash, I can't speak for anime cons, but I've been to enough car shows and swap meets to say bring cash anyway. Half the vendors take cards until the signal drops or the reader dies. Might hold off on buying tickets until they post a venue and a guest list. A brand new event can easily get moved or shrink between now and November 21.

Good call on waiting for a venue. Statehouse Convention Center makes sense to me too, and it's close enough to the River Market that we could grab lunch afterward. Bringing cash is solid advice, I'll plan on it no matter what the vendors say.
